ABOUT

The first edition of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Green Computing (ICAIGC 2023) will be held in Beni Mellal, Morocco during March 15-17, 2023. This edition is organized by the Data4Earth Laboratory, Faculty of Sciences and Technics Beni Mellal, University Sultan Moulay Slimane. ICAIGC 2023 aims to share experiences and to present recent advances in the use of Artificial Intelligence in various scientific applications and fields. The conference will provide an innovative networking forum in which researchers, academics and engineers can discuss and exchange the most recent research results, innovations and concerns related to the Artificial Intelligence. The encountered challenges and the adopted solutions in various fields covering environmental and informational aspects of sustainability will be also discussed.

Abdeillah Mouaddib

Title: Complex human-AI teams

Short Bio: 

Abdel-Illah Mouaddib: is the founder of Model, Agent and Decision research group of the GREYC Lab., CNRS UMR 6072. He received a PhD from the University of Nancy and INRIA-Lorraine. Pr. Mouaddib is a recipient of the European Conference on AI (ECAI-98) Best Paper Award and has a paper nominated for the award in the IJCAI’1999 (International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence). His research topics concern Markov Decision Models in multi-agent settings and interaction with humans. He developed several Decision and Game theoretic approaches applied to robotics. He validated his research results in the main conferences in the field of artificial intelligent and robotics (ECAI, IJCAI, AAAI, ICRA, IROS). He contributed to several national and international projects: two NASA projects on Cooperative Robots (1999-2003) and H2020 European projects. He was the principal investigator of many projects in collaboration with the main European and French companies, THALES, AIRBUS, DASSAULT-Aviation, Nexter-Robotics, … and agencies French National Agency of Research NRA and DGA, USA NFS, Canada, Netherlands, … and the famous international universities, Massaschuetts at Amherst, Missippi, Institue of technology of South-california,  Oxford England, Sapienza Roma Italy, Orebo Sweden, Krakow Poland, …

Yves Duthen

Title: Artificial Life, AI and Cognition

Short Bio: 

Yves Duthen:  is Emeritus Professor of Artificial Life at IRIT lab, University of Toulouse-Capitole (France). He received his Ph.D. degree from the University Paul Sabatier in 1983 and the “French Habilitation” accreditation to become full Professor in 1993 He has worked in image synthesis during the 1980’s and focused on Behavioral Simulation based on evolutionary mechanism since 1990. He has published about 150 refereed journal and conference papers and has directed 25 PhD theses. He has pioneered research in artificial life for building adaptive artificial creatures (shapes and behaviors) with embedded metabolism. in a disciplinary field called morphogenetic engineering. He is currently interested in machine learning in relation to cognition and attempts to synthesize the contributions of several disciplines such as philosophy, linguistics, anthropology, neuroscience, psychology, biology… to situate the specificities of "representation and understanding of the world" inherent to human cognition.

Aouatif Amine

Title: IA ET LA SÉCURITÉ ROUTIERE

Short Bio: 

Aouatif Amine:  is full Professor at National School of Applied Science (ENSA). She remained at Computer Sciences and earned a PhD degree in 2009 for a dissertation titled “Feature Extraction and Selection for Dimensionality Reduction in Pattern Recognition and their Application in Face Recognition”. Her research interests include but are not limited to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Dimensionality Reduction, Feature Selection Applied to Face Detection and Recognition And Driver Hypo-Vigilance for Road Safety, Connected Vehicles. She joined ENSA, Kenitra, Morocco, in 2010, as an Assistant Professor. In November 2010, Aouatif Amine has been a Vice-Chair of IEEE Signal Processing Society Morocco Chapter.

Françoise Sailhan

Short Bio: 

Francoise Sailhan  is professor at IMT-Altantique. Her research interest involves networks with emphasis on mobile sensing an cybersecurity. Prior, she was associate professor at CNAM and external collaborator of the Mimove research team at INRIA. She was a visiting researcher at SRI during summer 2012 and prior she spent one year in the University of Franche Comté and 2 years (2005-2007) in the Ericsson Ireland Research Center (EIRC) as a Marie Curie fellow; her work including the chair of the invention disclosure board of Ericsson Ireland. Yassine Sadqi

Title: Artificial intelligence and cyber security: Opportunities and threats

Short Bio: 

Yassine Sadqi: received his MSc and his PhD. in Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity from Ibn Zohr University, Faculty of Sciences Agadir, Morocco, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. From 2017 to 2021, he was an Assistant Professor at Sultan Moulay Slimane University. As of February 2021, he become an Associate Professor. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, ACM Professional Member, and a Member of OWASP. He has served and continues to serve on executive and technical program committees and as a reviewer of numerous international conferences and journals.

Mathieu Roche

Title: How text-mining could improve surveillance systems?

Short Bio: 

Mathieu Roche, PhD is a senior research scientist at CIRAD (Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement) and TETIS research unit (Territoires, Environnement, Télédétection et Information Spatiale) in France. Currently he is co-leader of MISCA (Modélisation de l’Information Spatiale extraction de Connaissance et Analyse), a research group at TETIS dealing with Data Science. Between 2005 and 2013, he has been an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) at the University Montpellier 2, France. Mathieu Roche obtained a PhD in Computer Science from University Paris 11 (Orsay) in 2004. He defended his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches – Accreditation to supervise research) in 2011. Mathieu Roche led several academic and industrial projects in text-mining. Currently he is involved in 2 European projects (H2020 MOOD, Desira ASSET) dealing with One Health and Agroecology domains. He has supervised 19 PhD students since 2006.

Djemel Ziou

Title: Image formation in the visible spectrum and applications

Short Bio: 

 Djemel Ziou: is received the B.Eng. degree in computer science from the University of Annaba, Algeria and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL), Lorraine, France, in 1991. From 1987 to 1993, he served as a Lecturer at several universities in France. During the same time, he was a Researcher in the Centre de Recherche en Informatique de Nancy (CRIN), Nancy, France, and the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique (INRIA), France. Presently, he is a Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Université de Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, QC, Canada. He has been a visiting professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenzhen, Paris-Sorbonne, Algerian Research Center in Industrial Technologies, Monastir University, Université Lorraine, INRIA Lorraine, and Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez. He has served on numerous conference committees and international/national panels as member or chair. Professor Ziou was an expert for the European Research Council (ERC) under its Horizon 2020 program from 2014 to 2020. In 2016, he chaired the ERC’s panel of assessment of research in computer science between 2009 and 2014. He heads the laboratory MOIVRE and the consortium CoRIMedia, which he founded. He was the recipient of the prestigious NSERC research chair. His research interests include image processing, information retrieval, computer vision, and pattern recognition.

Gurjot Singh Gaba

Title: Securing the Industrial Landscape: Navigating Challenges and Opportunities in Cybersecurity

Short Bio: 

Dr.Gurjot Singh Gaba:  is a postdoctoral researcher in the Computer and Information Science Department at Linköping University in Sweden. Prior to this, he worked at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Morocco, and the Global Foundation for Cyber Studies and Research, USA. Dr. Gaba completed his Ph.D. in 2021 from Lovely Professional University (LPU), India. His research focuses primarily on applied cryptography and security for industrial networks, specifically, the development of lightweight authentication and intrusion detection protocols based on robust cryptographic primitives and machine learning algorithms, such as zero-knowledge proofs, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, homomorphic encryption, blockchain, federated learning, etc.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Full Papers:

Each regular paper presentation will least 15 minutes. Presentation will be presented in parallel sessions. All sessions informations will be given in program section.

Online Presentation:

 

Authors who are interested to present their papers in ICAIGC 2023 but could not attend the conference, they can present their works by a Virtual Presentation.

Papers' Submission and Instructions:

  1. All submissions should be written in English.
  2. Submitted papers must be unpublished and note considered elsewhere for publication.
  3. Manuscripts should respect template 10-15+ pages for full papers and 6-8+ pages for short papers, including figures, tables and references (LaTex // Word).

– All presentations are in English.
– Arrive 10 minutes before the session start time to prepare your presentation. Please, start and end your presentation on time and keep the time schedule.
– Oral presentations for the ICAIGC 2023 have been allocated 20 minutes including 5 minutes for discussions.
– Bring your presentation in MS-PowerPoint or Adobe PDF formats. A volunteer will be at your disposal to help you.
